5/17: Baseball, Brews and a BBQ

SWING, BATTER BATTER: Phil’s BBQ is using its baby back ribs for a good cause by teaming up with the Padres to raise funds for San Diego's Big Brother, Big Sister foundation. The organization’s “Operation Bigs” program offers support to children of military families through one-to-one mentoring. Catch the Padres v. Giants game tonight. The first pitch is 7:05 p.m. and the BBQ tailgate, held appropriately in Tailgate Park, is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $25.

DOO-WOP, DOO-WOP: Step back in time to put a rock n’ roll twist on the days of the sock-hop. Jam out to “Shake, Rattle, Roll: A Fifties and Sixties Rock and Roll Celebration.” Join the rest of the rock n’ rollers at the Old Town Temecula Community Theatre at 7:30 p.m.
