Spoon Fed

Spoon's new release, Transference has been flying off the racks here at M-Theory -- a great new record from the Austin, Texas, rockers, very listenable and very solid as far as a contemporary album. Pop appeal but indie respect. From the 7-inch release "Written in Reverse" to the first track on the full-length release, "Before Destruction," with its thumping kick drum and unsteady analog keys, you're in for a sonic treat through and through

In-store performance time confirmed: Come down on Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. for a free show with Langhorne Slim. Check out his music at myspace.com/langhorneslim, then come enjoy his live show. I can attest: His live thing is not something you want to miss. I saw him eight years ago, and it was one of those shows I have not forgotten.

Keep an eye on Mr. David McHanks Vimeo page to see the Hotel St. George video that was shot here at the store last Friday. Coming soon: Right, McHank?
