Simply put, Shadow (born Joshua Paul Davis) is one of the most well-known names in electronica and instrumental hip-hop. His 1996 debut studio album, "Endtroducing..." flipped those entire genres on their heads and was named by Time magazine as one of its All-Time 100 Best Albums in 2006. Fun fact: It also holds the Guiness World Record for being the "First Completely Sampled Album" upon its release.
Since then, he's released four studio albums, with this year's "The Mountain Will Fall" as his latest. Known for his big-name collaborations, he's worked with such artists as Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Richard Ashcroft (The Verve), Mike D (Beastie Boys), Zack de la Rocha (Rage Against the Machine), Mos Def, David Banner, and Blackalicious.
