UCSD Announces 2017 Sun God Festival Lineup

UCSD announces a genre-hopping Sun God Festival lineup for 2017

Finally, a good reason to go to college: UCSD's 35th annual Sun God Festival is right around the corner.

Taking place on Saturday, April 29, at University of California San Diego on RIMAC Field, the student-curated festival has offered a broad variety of genres over the past three decades. Artists such as Social Distortion, Drake, Diplo and Silversun Pickups have performed in years prior.

2017's lineup doesnโ€™t shy away from genre-hopping either. On the Main Stage, the day-long festival hosts the young rap heavyweight Schoolboy Q, pop-rock quartet Bad Suns, along with DJ Manila Killa, DJ Mustard (also scheduled to perform at Parq on May 12) and a UCSD student, Graham Elliot, who won a battle-of-the-bands contest earlier this month.

On the North Stage, you will find up-and-coming artists such as psych-rock LA residents Mild High Club, singer/songwriter Khalid, and OWSLA (Skrillexโ€™s record label) signee Mark Johns. The sidestage will also feature dance and fashion performances by 220 Second To None, Choreo Cookies, and Kinjaz.

Unfortunately, Sun God tickets are only available to UCSD undergraduates with a limited number available to alumni.
