The bakery features interesting flavors, including white chocolate strawberry and funfetti.

A San Diego bakery will appear in The Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars” show on March 3.

Owner Nikki Black and baker Mary Sarain didn’t have a storefront when they filmed the episode last fall, but since then were able to open PURE Cupcakes in Pacific Beach this January.

The pair favors superior ingredients and their store has unique flavors, including a bacon-topped cupcake plus a tequila-soaked option called “Borracho.”

Sarain will face off against two other bakers in hopes for a $10,000 prize and the chance to feature their cupcakes at an event at the San Diego Zoo.

The episode airs on the Food Network at 8 p.m. on Sunday – tune in to see if PURE Cucakes wins!
