The NBC7 News Today Morning Team shared coffee and tea with their viewers this morning in the South Bay at Agave Coffee and Cafe in Chula Vista.
"We never get to see who's on the other side of the camera. It's nice to talk face to face with the people who get up with us every day," said Greg Bledsoe, morning anchor.
"It gives us the chance to really hear what people have to say in person," added morning anchor Marianne Kushi.
NBC7 is offering a free cup of coffee at three more coffee places every Monday through the month of May.
It's a "thank you " gesture to all the fans and viewers of the morning show and a welcome to new viewers.
Many were nicely surprised to see the whole team on hand at Agave.
Meteorologist Jodi Kodesh, Traffic reporter/Weather anchor Whitney Southwick and Live Desk Anchor Nicole Gomez were there to chat with customers too.
