Friday, March 1

The Flower Fields
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Carlsbad Ranch

Spring must be near, as the flower fields in North County reopen on Friday. Tickets are $11 for adults, $6 for kids.

Friday Night Liberty

5-8 p.m. at Liberty Station

Explore some of San Diegoโ€™s art at this monthly festival at Liberty Station. Kids will enjoy painting stations and plenty of food and drink will be for sale. Admission is free.

Ocean Beach Kite Festival
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Dusty Rhodes Park

The sky will be filled with colorful kites on Saturday afternoon as kids compete in the OB Kite Festival. This fun festival is free to attend and perfect for kids looking for a creative weekend activity.

Urban Warrior Dash
8 a.m. at Petco Park

Fitness aficionados will enjoy this uber-competitive event that requires you to run through a field of tires and up the stairs of San Diegoโ€™s biggest baseball stadium. Cost to participate is $85.

Sunday, March 3

World of Wine Winter Barrel Tasting
10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Temecula Valley

Try a variety of wines on this self-guided tour throughout Temecula. Tickets for the two-day event start at $99.

Petco Park Tours

10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at Petco Park

Gear up for baseball season by taking a tour of Petco Park. A guide will show you a behind-the-scene look at the stadium โ€“ plus you get to walk on an MLB field.
