Encinitas Eats: 27th Annual Taste of MainStreet

Foodies in the North County are in for a treat Tuesday as the 27th Annual Taste of MainStreet takes over downtown Encinitas.

From 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., attendees can enjoy samples from 40 local restaurants at the food fest along Coast Highway 101, including seven new eateries. The route also includes 20 “Sip Stops” – little stops hosted by local shops and salons serving sips of local wine, craft beer and non-alcoholic drinks, including coffee and kombucha.

To top it all off, attendees will be able to enjoy live music from bands playing across eight venues performing a variety of tunes – from blues and rock to funk and Spanish guitar.

This year, participating restaurants include Blue Ribbon Artisan Pizza; Encinitas Café; Kealani’s; Lobster West; St. Tropez Bakery & Bistro; The Taco Stand and UNION Kitchen & Tap, just to name a few.

Encinitas businesses hosting the Sip Stops include Bliss 101 (serving brews from Green Flash Brewing Co.), Movin’ Shoes (serving pours from The Lost Abbey), and PURE Blowout Bar (serving wine from Lorimar Vineyards & Winery), also to name a few.

Participating wineries and craft breweries also include Callaway Vineyard & Winery; Wiens Family Cellars; Wilson Creek Winery; Modern Times Beer; Ballast Point Brewing and Spirits; and Saint Archer.

Organizers say the event has sold out all 1,200 pre-sale tickets, but some day-of tickets may still be available at the Encinitas 101 office for $45 per person.
