Camp Pendleton to Host Tree Lighting Ceremony

This year, the ceremony will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22

The holiday spirit will shine a little early Saturday when Camp Pendleton hosts it's annual tree-lighting celebration.

The festive event starts at 6 p.m. at the Pacific Views Main Exchange. Base officials say the 20-foot tree will be lit by 7 p.m. with 5,000 lights and more than 250 ornaments and decorations.

Santa Claus will be on hand, as well as train rides, giveaways, free refreshments, live music and remarks from Camp Pendleton's commanding general.

The free event is open only to DOD card holders. Get more info here.
