Viejas Resort & Casino is opening its new hotel Thursday night.
The new luxury hotel is the largest inn east of Mission Valley and is located in space formerly occupied by the casino’s old bingo hall.
Viejas' five-story, $36 million hotel will offer 128 rooms including 99 deluxe rooms and 29 luxury suites. Additional features include a patio, cabanas, business center and fitness room.
The resort is also premiering its latest live entertainment “Rise,” featuring acrobatic performers and pyrotechnics.
Kumeyaay tribal leaders will also offer a traditional blessing over the Alpine property located on 5000 Willows Rd. during the grand opening ribbon ceremony.
