Patio Dining in North County

Check out some great places to eat outside in northern San Diego

June Gloom? Yelp North County doesn't care! When the marine layer rolls back, NCSD posts up on the patio. Check out the best places to launch your summer with al fresco dining, brought to you by Yelp!

The Yellow Deli
315 E Broadway, Vista
32011 Lilac Rd., Valley Center

Brought to you by a co-operative society, the Vista location is a hobbit house sanctuary. The patio is quiet and pleasant, filled with greenery, hanging baskets and excellent craftsmanship. If you’re out in East County, get a taste of the South from sitting out on the back porch and drinking a peach tea. Tables made from giant spools and wildflowers bloom everywhere. There’s no denying the magic at either special spot.

Campus Café
5966 La Place Ct. # 150, Carlsbad
Flustered workday? You can find your center with this peaceful patio right smack in the middle of the city.  It’s hidden South of Palomar Airport road and shocking delight to find in an industrial park. Nosh on your delicious lunch while you take in the koi pond, waterfall and stonework landscaping. Here is another surprise; the entire regular menu is under $6 an item!

Le Papagayo
1002 N Coast Highway 101 , Leucadia
If trying to find parking for this popular locals hangout raises your blood pressure, take a seat on the front or back patios and get yourself a glass of sangria: You’ll be back to Encinitas zen in no time. The menu is an eclectic mix of Mediterranean and Asian fusion styles. Happy Hour is a steal, but get there on time or you’ll be hard pressed to find a seat. Live music and local art also abound.

Bull Taco
2050 S Coast Highway 101, Cardiff-By-The-Sea
There is no denying that this taco joint boasts some of the best ocean view real estate on the Coast Hwy. The price is right and Yelpers recommend the breakfast burritos (tater tots!) or the duck tacos. Ask about the catch of the day and the exotic meat options too: Alligator anyone? You can’t beat the panoramic views from the cliff-side outdoor tables, the fresh ocean breeze… or the sriracha sour cream!

Pacifica Breeze Café
1555 Camino Del Mar #209, Del Mar
Serving breakfast and lunch daily, you’ll definitely feel the breeze (and have the quintessential Del Mar view) at the second level location. Known for their breakfast fare, stunning salads, generous sandwiches and delicious baked goods: It’s a fantastic choice for a bite with a client. Yelper tip for first timers-order at the counter then pick your outdoor table, they’ll bring your bites to you!
