A brand-new, 10-acre RV resort is now officially open in San Diego’s North County, right next to Pala Casino.
Leaders from the Pala Band of Mission Indians held a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday to celebrate the opening of the casino’s new, $6.1 million RV Resort, located at 11042 Highway 76, adjacent to the Pala Casino Spa Resort.
The new space offers 100 full-service sites for RVs and trailers from 55 to 70 feet long. Seventy-seven of the spaces are 20-foot-by-55-foot back-in sites, six are luxury 20-foot-by-60-foot RV sites equipped with barbecue grills and 17 are 20-foot-by-70-foot premium pull-through sites.
According to the Pala Band of Mission Indians, each site at the RV Resort includes a grassy area with a picnic table, electrical, water and sewer hookups and free Wi-Fi and cable TV service.
The RV Resort also includes additional amenities, including a heated swimming pool and two spas, and a Registration Building that houses a billiards table, card tables, three flat-screen televisions, a 24-hour laundry facility and two restrooms with showers.
Outdoor amenities for campers include five barbecue grills, two table-tennis tables, two horseshoe pits and a fenced dog park. A luxury Resort Clubhouse is located across the street from the Registration Building, which features two kitchens and can be rented out for an additional charge.
Daily rates at the Pala RV Resort start at $50. For $10, visitors are given a key card to access the swimming pool, laundry, restrooms and showers. Three pets are allowed per RV for $5 per pet per stay up to seven days.
A mini mart and deli is located near the RV Resort, which sells wine, beer, snacks, produce, sandwiches and pizza. There’s also a gas station in the area.
The RV Resort provides 24-hour shuttle service to Pala’s hotel and casino, which is about a half-mile away.
The Pala Casino Spa Resort features 507 hotel rooms with current rates starting at $359 per night, plus 11 restaurants, a full-service spa, a fitness center and swimming pool. The casino boasts more than 2,000 slot machines, 82 table games and 15 poker tables.
Pala, California, is located about 52 miles north of downtown San Diego.
