‘Anchorman 2' Casting in San Diego

Ron Burgundy and the Channel Four News Team needs YOU

Great Odin’s raven! The rumors are true: "Anchorman 2" is casting locals while the film is shot in San Diego this month.

So bust out your jazz flute and polyester suits because on Saturday, May 11 will be your chance to shine. Central Casting confirmed to NBC 7 San Diego that they will need hundreds of San Diegans to work as background actors for the sequel to 2004 comedy hit.

"Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" has already filmed a few scenes in Atlanta, but thankfully will come to America’s Finest City this month to continue production. The script has been pretty hush-hush, but actors Kristen Wiig and Harrison Ford will make appearances alongside stars Will Ferrell, Steve Carell and Christina Applegate.

Casting will be from noon to 4 p.m. on May 11 at DoubleTree San Diego Mission Valley on 7450 Hazard Center Dr. Candidates must be San Diego residents and need to bring documentation required for an I-9. If selected, background actors will be paid.

No word if Ron Burgundy will be on Panda Watch this time around, but surely he will make an appearance at various San Diego landmarks throughout the month.

So suit up and we’ll see you on the 11th. In the meantime, you stay classy.
