San Diego Padres FanFest is back!
The 2018 edition will take place on Saturday, January 13, at Petco Park from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can get in for free but you have to get your entry tickets online prior to the event. To do that, visit www.padres.com/fanfest where you can claim up to eight complimentary tickets for the event.
Now, what are you going to see when you get there? Lots of fun stuff. As in years past you’ll see Padres photo booths, KidsFest with bounce houses, games and face painting, and the Military and First Responder Zone. Fans can also enjoy activities on the field, including kids running the bases, catching fly balls in center field, throwing three pitches in the visitor’s bullpen, and viewing the Grounds Crew field maintenance equipment.
The Padres Foundation Garage Sale at the Park Blvd Gate Plaza is back. Fans can get memorabilia and collectibles with all proceeds benefitting the Padres Foundation’s charitable efforts.
Padres players, alumni and broadcasters will sign autographs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at three designated locations around Petco Park on a first-come, first-served basis. There will also be Q&A sessions at the Park at the Park stage (at 11:00 a.m., 11:25 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.) with Padres players, coaches, alumni, broadcasters and front office personnel.
Plus, since this is the 20th anniversary of the Padres 1998 National League Championship Team, the visiting clubhouse will feature locker exhibits and surprise visits by ’98 team alumni.
A few concessions stands on the Main Concourse and at the Park at the Park will also be open.
Gates open to the general public at 10:00 a.m. and the Home Plate and East Village gates at Petco Park. Parking is also free and available on a first-come, first-served basis in neighboring Padres-owned lots, including Lexus Premier Lot, Tailgate Lot and Padres Parkade.
Standard Petco Park security and screening procedures will be in place.
