Whatever Happens on “Dancing,” Bristol Palin Is Not Going Away Soon

What offers and riches await "The Pistol" post-DWTS?

Can't get enough of the Palins? (Wait, really, you can't?)

Well, lucky for you there is no shortage of ways to satisfy the craving: between the Mama Grizzly's hit TLC reality show, her new book, regular appearances on Fox News, Willow's Facebook shenanigans and Bristol "The Pistol" Palin's "Dancing With the Stars" adventure, you should be all set.

And it looks like the Palin media pile-on will not abate any time soon.

In fact, whatever happens on Tuesday's "DWTS" elimination,  Bristol is not about to exit the pop culture stage (sorry, guy from Wisconsin.) At least that's what one entertainment industry expert is saying.

"Bristol could get endorsements, book contracts and TV show offers," the pop culture insider told PopEater. "Like her or not, everyone is talking about her."

Not everything they are saying is kind. A theory involving a vast, Tea Party-backed conspiracy to pump up Bristol's "DWTS" vote count has been tossed around. And on Friday the comedian and "Daily Show" co-creator Lizz Winstead said on MSNBC that Bristol "has all the grace of one of those mules you hire to go down the Grand Canyon."

But just as with her mom, the more she is derided, the stronger Bristol seems to grow. (Like some sort of frontier Obi-Wan Kenobi.)

"Thank you supporters who continue to support," Bristol posted on her Facebook page last week. "The haters are already pulling out all the stops this week to destroy."

Palin echoed that sentiment on Monday’s penultimate "Dancing" episode, saying that “haters” have motivated her to succeed. But she admitted the criticism was taking a toll and said during practice for one number that she felt "defeated."

Writing over the weekend about Sarah Palin, New York Times columnist Frank Rich addressed a similar issue: "What might bring down other politicians only seems to make her stronger ... in an angry time when America’s experts and elites all seem to have failed, her amateurism and liabilities are badges of honor. She has turned fallibility into a formula for success."

In other words, if Bristol has learned from mom and she loses on "Dancing," expect her to win big some place else soon enough. And if she wins? A Palin/ Palin ticket in 2028? Bristol will be 38 by then and old enough to run.
