Rachael Harris to Guest Star in “The Good Wife”

"The Good Wife" is getting funnier in 2015.

Rachael Harris has signed on to guest star in the 12th episode of the hit CBS series as Franny. The character, an aide to the mayor of Chicago, butts heads with Gov. Peter Florrick (Chris Noth).

Harris, who recently starred opposite Christopher Meloni in the short-lived "Surviving Jack," has also popped up on "Suits," "New Girl," "Bad Judge," "Modern Family" and "The Office." On the big screen, Harris has had roles in "The Hangover," "Night at the Museum" and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid."

Harris joins other "The Good Wife" season six guest stars including Ana Gasteyer, Kyle MacLachlan, Carrie Preston, Michael J. Fox, Taye Diggs, Stockard Channing, David Hyde Pierce and Dallas Roberts.

A "Good Wife" refresher: Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is knee-deep in her campaign for state's attorney with Eli (Alan Cumming) and her campaign manager Jonathan (Steven Pasquale) at her side. Meanwhile, Cary (Matt Czuchry) has been busy prepping for the trial of his life with Diane (Christine Baranski) at his side. Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) has been seeing Lana (Jill Flint), but this doesn't sit well with Lemond Bishop (Mike Colter), the man at the center of Cary's legal headache.

"The Good Wife" will take a little winter break for December with new episodes returning Sunday, Jan. 4.

Harris' episode will air sometime in 2015. Her boss, the mayor of Chicago, has not been cast.

"The Good Wife" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
