Spice Girls Tease Possible Reunion on 20th Anniversary of β€˜Wannabe'

The Spice Girls last performed together in full capacity at the 2012 Olympics in London

Give us what we want, what we really, really want!

The Spice Girls teased a reunion party for fans in a newly released video.

The announcement came 20 years after the iconic video for "Wannabe" was released. The song gave the quintet the ultimate bragging rights, as it became the biggest-selling debut single by a female group.

Mel B, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton all appeared in the video to thank their fans. Victoria Beckham and Mel C were noticeably absent, though the latter tweeted, "Happy 20th birthday Wannabe - you haven't aged a bit!"

"We've been thinking, we have the best fans in the whole entire world," B says in the video. Halliwell continues, "You've stood by us for 20 years, and we want to say a big thank you."

"We've had our ups and downs but you've always been there," Bunton adds.

"And we want to celebrate and have a party," B says. "And when we do, you're all invited!"

The girls end the video with large text printed across the screen suggesting further news, which they plan to announce at a later date.

"Happy 20th birthday to all our fans," the text read. "This is a celebration for you! We hope to tell you soon, what you want, what you really really want #WANNABE."

A website was also recently launched using the same title as the video: Spice Girls Gem. The Spice Girls last performed together in full capacity at the 2012 Olympics in London.

The reunion teaser comes just two days after a new video from the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development took the Spice Girls' 1996 smash hit and refreshed it for a 2016 ad campaign aimed at achieving gender equality.
