Paul Simon, Edie Brickell Sing “I Don't Know You at All” in New Song Released After Arrest

The two have been supportive of each other since their arrests Saturday.

Paul Simon and Edie Brickell sing "I swear, I don't know you at all" in a new song released after their arrest over the weekend for a fight that led to one of them pushing the other at their home.

Brickell posted the song, "Like to Get to Know You," to her SoundCloud account Wednesday, as well as to her website, where she regularly posts a "Song of the Day." On the track, she's backed by a male voice that appears to be Simon's.

"You share my home, you share my kids and my dog," the song begins. "But I swear, I don't know you at all."

"I know how you like your coffee," Simon sings.

"And I know how bad you drive," Brickell answers.

"But I swear, I don't know you at all," they join together.

Comedian Steve Martin, who has collaborated on an album with Brickell, tweeted Wednesday about the ditty.

Simon and Brickell were charged with disorderly conduct on Monday, two days after police arrested them following a domestic dispute at their Connecticut home. Their lawyer said the fight led to "a push," but did not say who pushed whom.

The pair, who are married with three children, held hands Monday when they arrived at court for their arraignment.

The judge declined to issue a protective order requested by the government after Simon and Brickell told him there was no threat of violence in their relationship.

"We had an argument," Simon told the judge, "and it's atypical of us, and neither one of us has any fear or any reason to feel threatened."

The case has been continued to May 16.
