One Direction Sends Video Message to Arapahoe High School Shooting Victim

One Direction has a very important message for one very important fan.

The Brit boy band sent out a special video message to Colorado high-school shooting victim Claire Esther Davis. Davis, a 17-year-old student, was critically wounded by fellow senior and 18-year-old gunman Karl Pierson, who killed himself in the Arapahoe High School library after injuring his classmate on Dec. 13.

Police do not believe that the two were friends, and that Davis was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

She remains hospitalized in a coma.

Band members Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan heard of Davis' condition and decided to record a video message of support and to send well wishes to their injured fan.

"What's happened to you is absolutely terrible," Liam Payne says in the video. "It's something we can't bear thinking about, so we just wanted to share some love with you. All our prayers are with you and your family. Hope you get well soon. Lots of love."
