Halloween 2016 on ‘Today': ‘TRL' '90s Countdown

"Total Request Live," hosted by Carson Daly, featured six top pop culture moments from the '90s

MTV's "TRL" was back for a special Halloween edition on NBC's "Today" show Monday.

"Total Request Live," hosted by Carson Daly, who served as host of the wildly popular show from 1998 to 2002, featured six top pop culture moments from the '90s.

Here's the countdown:

6: Tamron Hall and Willie Geist brought back the iconic dance scene from "Pulp Fiction" as Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega.

5: Al Roker portrayed Steve Urkel, a character on the ABC/CBS sitcom "Family Matters."

4: Savannah Guthrie, who's expecting her second child, channeled Demi Moore's famous Vanity Fair cover. Moore posed nude for the magazine while seven months pregnant in 1991.

3: In addition to reprising his "TRL" hosting gig, Daly showed up on "Today's" plaza as Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Terminator."

2: Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb hosted "Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee." Gifford was Regis and Kotb was Gifford, complete with '90s hair. The real Regis Philbin made a cameo, too.

1: They saved the best for last. Sporting the infamous puffy shirt, Matt Lauer was Jerry Seinfeld in a scene where Bryant Gumbel makes fun of the frilly getup in a "Today" interview. Gumbel was back on "Today" Monday, mocking Lauer's "Seinfeld" look.
