Social Media Lights Up with #GoldenGlobes Fashions

The 72nd Annual Golden Globes red carpet is buzzing with excitement as Hollywood's starlets show off their designer dresses.

Camera flash bulbs captured every moment as "1st Look: Live on the Red Carpet" hosts Giuliana Rancic and Ryan Seacrest asked the stars, "What are you wearing?"

Actress Amy Adams responded -- Versace. She stunned in a powder blue dress and flowing red locks. Austrian singer Conchita Wurst may have turned the most heads, not for her forest green dress but for her well manicured beard.

Jennifer Aniston wore a black Saint Laurent gown that she described as "classicly reserved" while Lupita Nyong'o's Giambattista Valli Couture gown with purple accents popped off the red carpet.

Cecil B. DeMille Award winner George Clooney wore a classic Giorgio Armani tuxedo and his wife Amal wore a Dior Haute Couture gown with white gloves.

Jennifer Lopez's form fitting Zuhair Murad dress was accented with a high slit that you could not miss.

Other notables on the red carpet were Kate Hudson in Versace, Naomi Watts in Gucci, Sienna Miller in Miu Miu, Emily Blunt in Michael Kors, Julianne Moore in Givency Couture, Julia Louis Dreyfuss in Narciso Rodriguez, Reese Witherspoon in Calvin Klein, Salma Hayek in Alexander McQueen, Claire Danes in Valentino and Keira Knightley in Chanel Haute Couture.

Peter Pan LIVE! star Allison Williams caught Rancic's eye in a red Armani Prive gown. Rancic said Williams' choice was spot on and would be featured on a forthcoming episode of "Fashion Police."

Comedic duo and Golden Globes hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler wore a white Stella McCartney and a blue Antonio Berardi gown, respectively. The two laughed on the red carpet that they would have numerous wardrobe changes throughout the night.

Earlier this week, Fey said Bill Cosby jokes were fair game come show time.

The color of the night? There may not have been an "it" color, but white, silver, red and various hues of blue stood out on the red carpet.

Rancic proclaimed a dark blue Zac Posen gown worn by Katherine Heigel was one of her favorites of the night.
