Jake Gyllenhaal and Josh Brolin Fight for Their Lives in New “Everest” Movie Trailer

The new movie trailer for the upcoming action flick "Everest" is here.

The just-released clip features Jake Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin and their crew of mountain climbers taking on the most difficult adventure ever: ascending the highest peak on Earth.

"You my friends are following in the very footsteps of history, something beyond the power of words to describe," Clarke says in the video above. "Human beings simply aren't built to function at the cruising altitude of a 747. Everest is another beast altogether."

"It hurts. It's dangerous," Gyllenhaal adds as they trek over mile-high drops, skyscraping peaks and snow slides.

The crew finally reaches the summit, but they soon find out making it to the top of Everest isn't the hard part, it's getting back down with a gigantic and deadly storm approaching. "Their mettle tested by the harshest elements found on the planet, the climbers will face nearly impossible obstacles as a lifelong obsession becomes a breathtaking struggle for survival," reads the film's synopsis.

And judging from the incredible visuals in the trailer, "Everest" looks set to astound and amaze audiences.

Everest also stars Keira Knightley, John Hawkes, Robin Wright, Michael Kelly, Sam Worthington and Emily Watson and was directed by Baltasar Kormkur.
