"Go see a professional so that they can assess you. It's OK if you're going through something. Depression is not OK, but it is OK to go get help," she said.

Even Michelle Williams has had her rough days.

The Destiny's Child singer, who is currently teaming back up with Beyonce and Kelly Rowland for a new album, revealed recently that she was suffering from moderate depression, but thankfully, has surpassed that dark period in recent months thanks to exercise, therapy and positive thinking, according to The Huffington Post.

"I've dealt with depression," the 32-year-old said, "I had to choose to get out of bed and do whatever I needed to do to be happy.

"We're taught, 'Just go to church and pray about it. The Lord is going to heal you.' Well, in the meantime, I believe God-gifted people, physicians, doctors, therapists--that's your healing. Take advantage of it," she said. "Go see a professional so that they can assess you. It's OK if you're going through something. Depression is not OK, but it is OK to go get help."

The singer shared that she was dealing with depression since she was around 16 years old, and made the decision to speak out about it now in hopes of helping others who are also suffering.

Along with the upcoming Destiny's Child album, Williams is also working on a solo album and starring in a national tour of the Broadway musical Fela!, which kicks off next month.
