May 16 can't come soon enough.

After all, if this new trailer for "Godzilla" is any indication, we're in for one helluva ride this summer.

Bryan Cranston leads an impressive cast as a scientist who has a sneaky suspicion that things aren't going to end very well for him and the rest of his fellow humans when a certain lizard-like creature decides to wreak a little havoc.

Sure enough, in this latest preview, there's plenty of destruction to back that feeling up. (Nice knowing you, Statue of Liberty.)

Naturally, efforts are made to try and rid the world of this menacing monster, but as Ken Watanabe points out, "The arrogance of man is thinking nature is in our control and not the other way around."

Yikes.

And while we get a slightly better glimpse of Godzilla here than we did in the initial teaser trailer, we're definitely left with wanting more.

Yep. May 16 can't come soon enough.

Directed by Gareth Edwards, the highly anticipated flick also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Sally Hawkins, Juliette Binoche and David Strathairn.
