Adele Saying Hello to ‘Saturday Night Live' For the First Time Since 2008 (Matthew McConaughey Will Be There, Too)

Hello, from the other side. Adele's returning to "Saturday Night Live."

NBC wasted no time in locking the British songstress down as musical guest after her first single in five years, "Hello," broke the internet and firmly lodged itself in our heads for the rest of time. The network announced on Monday that she'll appear as musical guest alongside host Matthew McConaughey on Nov. 21.

The appearance marks Adele's first time back in Studio 8H since making her "SNL" debut in 2008 with a performance of "Chasing Pavements," a performance that helped catapult her debut album "19" to the iTunes top spot the very next day.

For McConaughey, this trip to "SNL" comes after an even longer time away. The Oscar winner hasn't hosted the show since appearing in 2003, back when he was the romantic comedy king with films like "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" and "The Wedding Planner." He's since undergone his McConaissance, of course, winning an Emmy for his work in the first season of "True Detective" and taking home an Academy Award for 2013's "Dallas Buyers Club". He will next appear this spring in Gus Van Sant's "The Sea of Trees," a drama set in Japan's mysterious Suicide Forest.

Tune in for the pair when the episode airs Saturday, Nov. 21 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
