A local high school student who rose to fame by winning the National Spelling Bee has now made to the finals of Jeopardy's teen tournament.
"That leaves him with $13,000 and makes him a semi-finalist!" game-show host Alex Trebec said after Anurag Kashyap won Monday night.
Kashyap, a senior from Rancho Bernardo High school, answered difficult questions about animals, impressions and elections.
The 16-year old Poway teen won the National Spelling Bee three years ago when he was an eighth-grader at Meadowbrook Middle School.
Kashyap will be on the finals on Wednesday night.
