Rep For Michael Jackson's Dermatologist Releases Statement Following Media Reports

A rep for Dr. Arnold Klein has issued a statement on behalf of the dermatologist whose name surfaced in several reports on Tuesday regarding Michael Jackson's medical treatment and the parentage of his children.

"Dr. Klein is aware of media reports connecting him to Michael Jackson," his rep, Richard L. Charnley said in a statement to Access Hollywood. "Because of patient confidentiality Dr Klein will make no statement on any reports or allegations.

"Out of respect for his patients and adherence to federal HIPAA regulations, Dr. Klein asks that the media not contact his patients nor interfere with their medical treatments," Charnley continued in the statement. "Like millions of Michael's fans around the world, Dr. Klein is saddened by Michael's death and extends his condolences to Michael's family."

On Tuesday, Us Weekly claimed in a report that Dr. Klein is the father of Michael's children.

Additionally on Tuesday, TMZ reported that the Los Angeles Police Department wanted to talk to Dr. Klein regarding prescriptions he may have written or given to the star.

TMZ reported that in recent months, Jackson had been seen making multiple visits to Dr. Klein's office.

Debbie Rowe, who was once married to the star and has been widely reported to be the mother of Jackson's eldest children, Prince Michael I and Paris, previously worked for Dr. Klein.
