Redmond O'Neal's Lawyer Speaks Out About Redmond's Visit With Farrah

Redmond O' Neal's lawyer, William Slattery, spoke exclusively to Access Hollywood about the trip Redmond was allowed to take from jail last Saturday to visit his ailing mother, Farrah Fawcett.

When asked if a short-term release from jail was typical, Slattery said, "I worked on it and tried to pull it off and I just wanted him to see his mom."

Amid rumors that Fawcett's health has turned for the worse, Slattery explained, "I really don't know anything about whether she turned for the worse. I honestly don't know.

You know, she's been to Germany and she had those treatments there and other that you probably know more about it than I do. I have not personally spoken to Farrah."

As AccessHollywood.com previously reported, Redmond pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of heroin possession yesterday.

The charge stemmed from Redmond's arrest on April 5 on suspicion of taking heroin into an LA-area jail facility.

In response to why Redmond's family has not posted his bail, which is set at $75,000, Slattery said, "I can't speak for the family on that."
