President Obama to Help Close out “Oprah”

Oprah has been lining up some big guests for her talk show's final run, and they don't get much bigger than this.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that President Obama and First Lady Michelle are going to tape a guest appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on April 27th in Chicago. The episode is scheduled to air on May 2nd, a few weeks ahead of Oprah's May 25th finale.

Although Winfrey very publicly supported Obama during his 2008 campaign, she recently said that she would not do the same in 2012. Rumor is that she fears alienating audiences for her fledgling OWN Network.

President Obama is the first U.S. President to actively participate in the daytime talk show circuit, having appeared on Oprah's show in 2006 as well as "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "The View."
