Hundreds Mourn Patrick Swayze at L.A. Funeral

Patrick Swayze was honored in grand tradition Sunday, as family, friends and members of the Hollywood community poured into a Culver City, Calif. private memorial to celebrate and honor the life of the fallen star.

Swayze was sent off by several hundred people who came to say their final goodbyes to the "Dirty Dancing" actor, who died from pancreatic cancer on Sept. 14.

The service incorporated Swayze's two passions, dance and riding horses, as guests were greeted by a single white horse owned by the actor and treated to a performance by professional dancers.

The funeral also included a series of moving speeches from friends and family who celebrated Swayze's life as they eulogized the star, People magazine reported.

The memorial was organized by Swayze's wife Lisa Niemi, a dancer who was married to Swayze for two decades.
