E-mails with the subject "Madonna caught swine flu!" and "Salma Hayek caught swine flu!" have been circulating. However, they may be a ploy containing a computer virus, according to computer anti-virus software company McAfee.

As for the headline-making real-life virus, the U.S.Center for Disease Control announced on Wednesday that 64 confirmed cases of swine flu cases have broken out in the U.S., though Madonna and Salma are not among their reported ranks.

The two stars have been in the news recently thanks to Salma's Venice wedding over the weekend and Madonna's attempts to adopt a Malawian orphan.
