Lindsay Lohan Calls Ungaro Debut A ‘Fairytale'

Lindsay Lohan has called her debut collection as Artistic Advisor of Ungaro fashion house a "fairytale" moment.

"I feel like it's pretty much a fairytale," the actress told People on Sunday following the debut of her collection at Paris Fashion Week with co-designer Estrella Archs. "It's certainly more than I could have ever imagined, more than I'd ever hoped for."

In September, the brand announced the actress had been hired to help given an "electric shock" to the label.

"A designer only-led fashion house isn't enough, so we're adding a super consumer who gives us a direct channel to consumers," Ungaro CEO and president Mounir Moufarrige told the Associated Press at the time.

And following her big debut on Sunday, Lindsay said finally seeing the designs hit the runway after a period of hard work was completely rewarding.

"The last five days have just been so crazy, chaotic," Lindsay told People. "And this is just so amazing after working all night, this week in the office together until 1 AM and 3 PM, seeing everything pull together."

But despite her enthusiasm, the actress' new line wasn't a hit with critics at fashion bible Women's Wear Daily.

"The collection displayed none of the promised younger side Lohan was supposed to deliver," the mag wrote on its Web site over the weekend, criticizing Lindsay's "nonskilled" influence on the line's designer, Estrella Archs. "Being a young, pretty, controversial woman who looks good in clothes and photo ops just isn't enough."

As for Lindsay, she said she was looking forward to her next collection.

"I feel so honored," she told People. "I can't wait to be involved again, to be more involved on the next collections, to continue to please people, add more to the designs, to shock people."
