"I always tell brides just because it's your wedding day it doesn't mean you have to look different. It's important that the pictures represent who you are." In other words: on your wedding day you should look like "you" just the best version of you! Laura says that if you're not someone who usually tans, don't do a fake bake! If you normally wear nude lipstick, stick with that! Also "be sure to do run-throughs with different styles and different makeup artists. It's like finding the perfect dress - when you get the perfect makeup you'll know."

EYES
Laura says lining the eyes is a must. If you are not someone who is used to eyeliner, keep it light - just the finest of lines on the top and bottom right next to the lashes. This will really make eyes pop for the photos. Laura's Powder Pencil Eyeliner glides on smoothly and is long lasting. Mascara is also very important but remember, "waterproof mascara is the only way to go." After all, tears will be shed. Also make sure your eyebrows are perfectly groomed.

CHEEKS
"Cheek color should be applied on cheekbones and nowhere else. Start at the top of the ear and suck in mouth. The blush should go to where the indentation is created." Laura says the right shades for brides range from soft pale pink to deep mauves since "those are the colors that emulate the natural look of when you are flushed with excitement." Two great choices Laura Geller's Blush-N-Brighten in Berry and Laura's Ethereal Rose Baked Powder. When applying, remember to always start with less color, because you can always add more.

LIPS
Laura prefers lipsticks to lip glosses since they last longer. "Go after lipsticks that say long wearing because there won't be much time for touchups." Laura likes pinks, roses, and beige-pinks best for the special day. "Always use a pencil one to two shades darker than the color you are wearing. Use the lip pencil to frame the perimeter of the mouth and then fill in with lipstick." If you are a gloss girl, you can add gloss over the lipstick.

As for insuring your makeup lasts, skip your moisturizer and use an under-makeup primer instead. These lay on the skin's surface so the makeup doesn't penetrate while a moisturizer will soak right in - causing your makeup to vanish more quickly! To set your makeup, use Laura's Matte Maker Invisible Oil Blotting Powder.
