Glam Slam: How To Get Miley's Hair!

It's been Miley Mania lately! The teen queen has been everywhere in anticipation of "Hannah Montana The Movie" opening Friday (including our stage - tune in to Access Hollywood tonight) and I must say she's been looking more gorgeous and grown-up than ever!

And what I especially can't help but notice is her very long and very adorable hair!

Celebrity Hairstylist Ricardo Lauritzen, of Beverly Hills B2V Salon, has been doing Miley's hair for over six months now and did her 'do just last week for the premiere of her movie. But the real work came in the preparation a few weeks ago!

Along with Celebrity Hairstylist Mia Shin, Ricardo spent 7 hours perfecting Miley's color and extensions. But don't think Miley didn't have a say: just the opposite!

According to Ricardo "Miley knows what she likes. She guides the process." This time around, they kept Miley's base color (which makes up 30-40 percent of the hair) as her natural brunette tone. For the second level of color, which is the lightest, "We wanted to choose a color that's not too blonde but is warm so it would look like she was just out in the sun." These highlights make up about 10 percent of the hair. And finally, the third color is somewhere in between the natural chocolate brown base and the golden blonde highlights. This color blends everything together!

Next up: extensions. "Miley really wanted more length. She likes the length and her grandma likes the length!" Working together, Ricardo and Mia used Great Lengths extensions. These are 100 percent human hair and come in a full range of colors. For Miley, they used Great Lengths to add both length and thickness. For more information go to www.greatlengthsusa.com.

For premiere night, "the look was about being low maintenance and being young and flirty." No overdone up-do needed here! Ricardo simply used a curling iron in small sections of the hair all around the head, holding the hair for 10 seconds. The key is that if you curl one section clockwise, the section next to it should be curled counterclockwise. "This gives it more of that beachy, young look."

To make sure hair stays in place, be sure not to over-condition before styling and use a little bit of hairspray after every single curl.
