Eminem Bringing 200 Autoworkers to “Jimmy Kimmel”

Eminem is rolling with an entourage of 200 laid-off autoworkers to "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Friday.

The Michigan rapper who immortalized Detroit in the film "8 Mile" said he and Kimmel are flying the workers to the Los Angeles set of the late-night talk show to remind everyone that real people are being affected by what's going on in Detroit.

He told the Detroit Free Press, through his publicist, that news reports ignore people who have lost their jobs without getting big payouts after dedicating themselves to the auto industry.

Eminem said he and Kimmel also wanted to show some of the autoworkers "a good time while we're at it."

Friday's performance will be the first of three on Kimmel's show to promote the upcoming release of "Relapse," Eminem's first studio album in four years. Eminem will also appear on May 19 and May 22.
