โ€œDancing With the Starsโ€ Recap: Perfect 30s on Country Night

Did Shawn Johnson rebound from her controversial rumba? How is Melissa Rycrof's neck? Did Gilles Marini wear pants?

Things were back to normal Monday night on "Dancing With the Stars"--despite the fact that many East Coast viewers were out of luck due to network storm coverage.

Speaking of which, Sabrina Bryan directed her well-wishes to those living in areas being battered by powerful wind and rains, saying, "I'm praying for you so much."

And, guess what, the dance gods were smiling upon her, too, because her country-accented rumba with Louis van Amstel received the first 30 (from three, not four judges, that is) of the season!

Gilles dished to E! News about that skimpy towel and even skimper boxer-briefs

And they weren't alone.

Apolo Anton Ohno--who, according to the very critical Carrie Ann Inaba last week hadn't yet had his magic moment this season--waltzed right into a tie for first place with partner Karina Smirnoff.

"It was two people in harmony with each other and the music," approved head judge Len Goodman.

Good news for another ABC show

The rest of the contestants, who were all still around after last week's lack of elimination, were hot on the front-runners' heels, however.

Melissa Rycroft, who's battling a neck injury and admitted that she's still hurting, earned a 29.5 on her waltz with Tony Dovolani. We hope her fine score helped ease the pain.

Alas, Shawn Johnson, who danced a superior rumba last time but received mixed reviews from the judges, followed up her controversial performance tonight with a cha-cha that--what do you know--probably deserved higher than a 28.

And Gilles Marini, wearing pants this time, was dinged for his "T-Rex hands," so he only ended up with a cha-cha for his 27.

Here's how the whole leaderboard stacked up:

Apolo Anton Ohno & Karina Smirnoff: 30

Sabrina Bryan & Louis van Amstel: 30

Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani: 29.5

Shawn Johnson & Derek Hough: 28

Gilles Marini & Peta Murgatroyd: 27.5

Kirstie Alley & Maks Chmerkovskiy: 27.5

Kelly Monaco & Val Chmerkovskiy: 27

Emmitt Smith & Cheryl Burke: 26.5
