Chris Daughtry, Wife Expecting Twins Via Surrogate

Rocker Chris Daughtry and his wife, Deanna, will be adding four little happy feet to their brood.

The "American Idol" alum announced on his Web site that the couple is expecting twins via a surrogate.

"Deanna and I are overjoyed about this double blessing," Chris said in a statement posted to the site. "Thank you for your expressions of love and support and for respecting for our privacy during this special time."

The new additions will join the couple's other two children – daughter Hanna, 13, and son Griffin, 11.

The news is extra special for the couple, after Deanna underwent a hysterectomy in 2006.

For the new pregnancy, the couple "used [in vitro fertilization] and had their embryos transferred to a gestational surrogate," according to Chris' site.

Chris and Deanna wed in 2001.
