This ‘American Boy’ Is Irresistible
“American Boy” by Estelle, featuring Kanye West, is one of the best songs of the year but for some reason a lot of people have not received the memo.
It’s not that “American Boy” hasn’t done well. It peaked at # 11 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart. But this song is as good--if not better--than anything else that is out there. So why hasn’t it soared to #1?

The song finds Estelle – a UK songstress — teaming with Kanye West in a fun collaboration about an American guy loitering about London who encounters a beautiful London girl who was looking for an “American Boy” to take her to the states. Perfect timing for them, right?
