Celebrate Green Week! See how you can get green around the county this week. Also this Saturday, San Diego’s Botanic Garden will be holding the Lost Lady Bug Project, sponsored by Cornell University. The project hopes to have volunteers search the garden for ladybugs and report the information back to Cornell University. In addition, there will be a lot of craft activities located in the Eucalyptus Grove by Seeds of Wonder and all the ladybugs found will be released at noon to benefit the garden. Balboa Park will be throwing their annual Earth Day Fair on Sunday, the world’s largest free environmental fair with more than 350 exhibitors, featuring sustainable living options, children's Earth Parade & Activities, and Energy Efficient Vehicles. This year will also mark the 10th Annual Creek to Bay cleanup, a county-wide community effort, where thousands will come work to remove trash from local beaches, bays, parks, creek and canyons, as well as participate in a variety of projects to beautify and restore our shared environment. Last year, more than 5,300 San Diegans joined together for the event, among them were station employees volunteering to pitch in for the clean-up effort helping to remove more than 80 tons of debris. I Love A Clean San Diego, the host organization is an established environmental nonprofit, started back in 2003.
