In just one day, a dozen homes on Trojan Avenue in the neighborhood of Colina Park in City Heights will receive a complete makeover through the Community Housing Works annual FaceLift Project. Community Housing Works is a San Diego non-profit whose goal is to assist those in need of housing so that they may focus on progressing towards a brighter future. On Saturday, June 11 2011, from 8:00am to 2:00pm volunteers from the community, neighborhood associations, local business, and our very own NBC San Diego team will join in a combined effort to spruce up this City Heights neighborhood.
The NBC San Diego project is focused on a family-owned triplex on the corner of 54th and Trojan Avenue. The make over on this property is being made possible through a generous donation of $5,000 worth of materials provided by Frazee Paints.
