Astrid Solorzano

Astrid Solorzano is excited to back home in America’s Finest City! She graduated from The Preuss School UCSD and graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2012. During her undergraduate studies, she interned and was an on-air reporter with the Spanish news station Univision at their local affiliates in the Central Coast as well as Washington D.C. During her last year at UCSB she also interned at NBC San Diego and immediately knew this was her dream job.

Astrid received a masters degree from the University of Southern California, where she became part of the Trojan family as well as continued her internship experience with the NBC family at KNBC in Los Angeles.

She graduated from USC in 2014 to go on to work at her first station in Little Rock, Arkansas. During her time at the CBS affiliate, THV11, she was flown out to Detroit to interview the Assistant U.S. Attorney General after the U.S. Department of Justice announced Little Rock to be one of the top five most dangerous cities in the country (2015).

After a year and a half in Little Rock, Astrid came back to San Diego to work with ABC affiliate, 10News. After less than eight months she was thrilled to return to be part of the NBC family.

Astrid loves to watch sports, and enjoys outdoor activities or an evening by the beach with friends.
