“White Christmas” in Orange County

The classic sings at the Segerstrom.

10? 100? How many times have you watched "White Christmas" this season? Wait, strike that. How many times have you watched it this year? We stretch the boundaries on its watching limitations because we personally know a handful of people that pop in the Christmas classic regardless of the month. In fact, we're surprised the movie hasn't yet been treated to "Rocky Horror"-like showings, where people arrive at theaters in yuletide-y costume and sing along in front of the screen (we want to play Rosemary Clooney, although to dance like Vera-Ellen would certainly be a dream). So when the famous musical treat arrives on stage, bet fans of the film will turn out to see it live. And that's exactly what's happening right now at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. "Irving Berlin's White Christmas" is set to dance for a three-week run on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Here's a sneak peek at the snowy songfest as it appears on stage. Oh, props for those '40s-era clothes. Glamor and tailoring and style.
