Swinter Savings in Mammoth Are Hot

Savings for kids, and on hotel rooms, are sizzling as the mountain resort stays cool.

SWINTER? It's not wintertime, exactly, and it is spring, literally, but it is a strange season. Why? Because there's bound to be snow around, still, and wintry activities, making it a hybrid type of season, one that has the benefits and charms of both the frosty stretch and the blooming time of year. And swinter, at Mammoth Mountain, is one of the hottest moments on the calendar, if not actually, as in thermometer-wise, then what's happening with deals, savings, and such. The go-to destination has announced a host of wallet-nice offers in recent days, so put on your favorite swinter-style sweater and consider your trip to the Sierra, pronto.

KIDS SKI FREE, after May 28, is one major offer that's bubbled up out of the swinter scene up the mountain. If your tot is age 12 or under, and you head up to the slopes at the very end of May, or all of June, or beginning of July (up to July 4, the final 2019 day, thus far, for Mammoth), your young schusser or rider can ski free. ("Shorter lift lines," during this time period, is an added benefit.)

A LIFT + LODGING PACKAGE... is also sweetening the Mammoth Mountain swinter, giving those visitors who want to secure their place to stay as well as their lift tickets, all at once, an awesome and money-saving way to do so. How money-saving are we talking? You could save up to 20%, oh yes. Details are here. And as for enjoying the mountainous pleasures over the long Memorial Day Weekend? Hello, there shall be ways to save on lodging during this time, too, if you...

STAY FOR AT LEAST THREE NIGHTS: The dates to look at are May 23-27, which are just around the corner, so get booking soon. That's still technically swinter, and not spummer, that still-magical period when spring meets summer.
