In a time when all we seemed to hear was doom and gloom about the record industry and streaming all but obliterating brick-and-mortar record stores, a new record store was born in 2017 and San Diego is all the better for for it. This weekend, celebrate the one-year anniversary of Vinyl Junkies Record Shack in South Park. With bands and DJs all day long, it's a way to knock out any impulse to shop for Black Friday or Small Business Saturday, while also hanging with like-minded music lovers. The Creepy Creeps and Parker Meridien will play live, along with a slew of local musicians on the decks (read the SoundDiego preview here). By night, you've got solid choices, with the Schizophonics playing Casbah, Wayword Sons at Belly Up, and our buddies Jonny Wagon & the Tennessee Sons headlining Winston's.
