There's so much going on today, and you definitely might want to make an all day adventure out of the return of the Switchfoot Bro-Am. Of course, the surf competition will be stunning, but it's the real special treat is the free music that fills Moonlight Beach -- plus, our pals in Creature and the Woods were selected as this year's support act. We know that the guys in Switchfoot are pretty much the nicest guys around, but this free event is one of the many ways they give back to their hometown. Meanwhile, this isn't exactly a town known for jazz, but today there are actually two jazz festivals. At the Embarcadero, it's all about smooth jazz, with artists like Boney James and Peter White, while the Waterfront Park is presented by KSDS and features artists like Monette Marino World Jazz Ensemble and locals including Gilbert Castellanos and Sure Fire Soul Ensemble. There's also the Magic Summer Jam with classic R&B artists, Pitbull plays the San Diego County Fair, the Observatory goes deep with reggae and the punky sass of Charly Bliss hits the Casbah.
