Isis' Swan Song

Tickets to see Isis at the Casbah were on sale for over a month, but after the band's announcement last week that it would be breaking up and that this is its final tour, tickets sold out nearly instantly.

Isis promised fans that they would finish the tour and wrap up some final recording, but that would be the end of Isis. Fans of their heavy progressive metal are surely disappointed that the band's 13-year career as a band is ending, but from their blog, it sounds like they achieved all that they had hoped to with the project.

Obviously, metal isn't for everyone, so tonight would be a good night to explore new and lesser-known bands and venues. Who knows, you might just discover your new favorite band.
