New Year's Eve offers dozens of options, whether you're looking for a massive multi-room party or a multi-course dinner, live music or DJs, breweries and restaurants or venues and hotels, San Diego has something for everyone tonight. Over here, though, we're gearing up for something BIG as we count down to the new year at the Hilton Bayfront for SoundDiego, NBC7 and Telemundo 20's Big Night San Diego NYE Gala. It's your chance to join NBC7’s Dagmar Midcap, Telemundo 20’s Ana Cristina Sanchez and SoundDiego’s Daye Salani for "New Year's Eve: Live in San Diego," airing Dec. 31 from 11:35 p.m.-12:05 a.m. on NBC 7. Oh, and some of the biggest names (and local favorites) in EDM will be there as well. Look back at the best of 2018, then count down to a huge midnight celebration as we ring in the new year.
If you're looking for live music, one of the new additions to NYE is a collaboration between the Casbah and Loew's Coronado Resort featuring the Redwoods Revue. They have killed it at the past two Bay Sessions they did at the same venue, and I expect everyone will step up their game for NYE. Other live music options include Schizophonics and Creepy Creeps at the Casbah, Weatherbox at Soda Bar and Magic Giant at the Irenic. Tourmates Bruin and Well Well Well hook it up for a free night at Seven Grand, and Lady Dottie leads a big lineup at the Lafayette.
