The Claypool Lennon Delirium headline the Observatory North Park Friday. (Les Claypool pictured)

I was walking through Balboa Park yesterday and it looked like when "Pokemon Go" first came out and everyone was wandering around with their phones out in front of them, only this time it was to capture post-Christmas pics with the Dr. Seuss tree or the snowflakes projected onto the California Tower. If you still want to capture what's left of that hliday feeling, head to Panama 66 and enjoy the awesome music of Red Fox Tails. From there, you could head to the Observatory North Park to catch the return of the Les Claypool (of Primus) collab with Sean Lennon as the Claypool Lennon Delirium, or see Scary Pierre blow the roof off Bar Pink. Southern Californians love Donavon Frankenreiter and he returns to kick off the first of two nights at the Belly Up while our buddies in Hideout return to Soda Bar. For longtime San Diegans, however, you might wanna check out the return of the Paladins at the Casbah, who were a staple of the "Swingers" era in San Diego.
