Sounds Like San Diego: Oct. 20

Midnight Pine and Gilbert Castellanos bring a special performances to Panama 66

Our San Diego weather has been perfect this weekend, so I can think of no place better to spend it than idyllic Balboa Park, while Panama 66 celebrates their five year anniversary. I mean, personally, I'm against commercial enterprises in our park, but if they're gonna allow concessionaires, I can't think of a better one than the people behind Blind Lady Ale House, and after five years, they've proven to be good and fair fiduciaries within the park. Today, you can see a super extra special performance as Midnight Pine and Gilbert Castellanos perform separately and then do a special performance together. As that wraps up, you can easily cross the Cabrillo bridge and head down Laurel to catch Suzanne Santo at the Casbah. Honeyhoney went to great lengths to assure fans that they're not over, just exploring side solo projects, and tonight you can find out if that assertion still holds true. Around town, the tweens and teens will be flocking to feel the raw emotion of Gus Dapperton at Soma, self-described "Kentucky fried queerdos" Grlwood play at Soda Bar and Peter Mayer of Coral Reefer Band and son Brandon Mayer play the Belly Up.
