There is so much music happening around our city, it's mystifying that anyone could say it's a sleepy town. From Oceanside's In Your Neighborhood, with pals Aviator Stash, to the the Platters playing a sold out show at Sycuan, to the Pure Art Hip-Hop show at the Salty Frog in Imperial Beach, you're sure to find something of interest near or far. At the Casbah, some of our local faves are raising money to help the family of Jeff Walls (the Woggles), who passed away earlier this year from a rare pulmonary disease. At the Observatory, Tuxedo get funky. Chaka Khan and Macy Gray make for a double shot of powerful women at the Embarcadero, and Japanese punks Shonen Knife return to town, this time with a show at Soda Bar. With this much music, you might have to double-dip and catch more than just a single show.
